For the first time since 2021, the Tour de France 2025 will start again in its “motherland”. After the Grand Departs in Copenhagen (2022), Bilbao (2023), and Florence (2024), the Tour will start in the north of France. The Grand Depart of the 112th Tour de France will be in and around Lille, or in the Hauts-de-France region.

This was announced by race organizer A.S.O. According to some media reports, the opening stage is supposed to start in Lille. Certainty about this, as well as about the course of the first stages of the Tour de France 2025, will be available on November 30, 2023. On this day, the A.S.O. will present the Grand Depart.

Until then, speculation is allowed whether the “Hell of the North” with the cobblestone sections of Paris-Roubaix will be part of this Tour. Or the Hellingen and cobbles of Flanders, which is only about 30 kilometers away from the French Lille. So it is quite possible that the first days will be reserved for the classic hunters. Or will the “Great Loop” turn towards the coast into Normandy?

The presentation of the Grand Depart 2025 is eagerly awaited by fans and journalists.
