UCI Gravel World Series 2026: All gravel races at a glance

The UCI Gravel World Series 2026 is writing a new chapter in the young gravel sport. More than 40 gravel races are on the calendar in 2026 leading up to the World Championships – more than ever before. The selection is huge for ambitious amateur cyclists who want to race their gravel bikes not only on local forest roads, but also on international gravel tracks. The series remains true to its basic principle in its fourth year: elite riders and amateur athletes start together. And whoever is fast enough in their age group secures a ticket for the UCI Gravel World Championships 2026.

Gravel World Championships 2026 in Australia

These will take place outside Europe for the first time in 2026 – in Australia. On October 10 and 11, 2026, the world championship titles for the elite and the age groups will be fought for in Nannup, Western Australia. The UCI is announcing a course with many short, steep climbs and plenty of vertical meters. If you want to experience the character of the World Championship routes early on, the traditional Seven race on May 16 in the same region offers an opportunity for a dress rehearsal under race conditions.

The first qualifying races for the 2026 World Championships already took place shortly after the last title fights. Including in Belgium, Thailand and Portugal.

Season opener: From South Africa to Europe

In 2026, ambitious gravel bikers will have numerous opportunities to qualify for the World Championships – or simply to experience the racing feeling. After the start in South Africa at The Ceder, the Castellón Gravel Race in Spain at the end of February offers the first chance in Europe to show your skills. A month later, in the middle of the spring classic season on the road, the Turnhout Gravel in Belgium is on the program.

Exciting races in Austria, Belgium, Netherlands & France

A highlight in spring is – as in previous years – the Wörthersee Gravel Race in Velden, Austria on April 12. After that, the season is in full swing: numerous exciting events are planned in Germany’s neighboring countries Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

A trip to Italy for the newly anchored Grand Tour Tre Cime di Lavaredo is worthwhile, if only because of the magnificent scenery. From Auronzo di Cadore, a 133-kilometer-long event leads through the Dolomites – in the shadow of the Drei Zinnen.

German World Championship qualifiers in Singen & Winterberg

There are also two qualifying races in Germany. The Hegau Gravel in Singen on Lake Constance kicks things off: On July 5th, graveling will take place on the legendary mountain bike World Championship course from 2017. Just two weeks later, the scene will meet in the Sauerland: The 3Rides Gravel, which was previously held around Aachen, will take place in Winterberg. In addition to a gravel festival with races over several days, the UCI Gravel World Series race on July 19th will conclude the event. This race had already been presented in October as part of the UCI Gravel World Series.

After the rainbow jerseys have been awarded at the Gravel World Championships in Nannup, Australia, the qualification phase for 2027 will begin. Four more events are currently planned between mid-October and mid-November. Particularly symbolic: the Gravel of Marathon in the historic city of Marathon in Greece. The place, which is considered the cradle of modern long-distance running, will thus also become part of the history of international gravel sports.
